 WHAT IS READING?

According to Isabel Solé  "reading is the  process of interaction between reader and text, the process by which the reader  tries to find  the objectives that guide his/her reading."
 Also reading is to understand properly  a written text, reading is to learn  how to live , to grow the personality. reading  is to take part of  a society.

 WHAT IS READING COMPREHENSION?

Reading comprehension is the process by a reader constructs from his/her  previous  knowledge, new meanings by interacting with the text. It is the foundation of comprehension: the interaction of reader with text.

WHAT ARE THE STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS IN READING?

1. Look into the book.

scanning the text to identify the author, title, date, pages, source ... and to  have a general idea  of the topic

2. Asking questions?

Change headers, titles and sub-headings in the text questions. Then answers the questions.

3.Reading:

To have a comfortable position,to underline  the main ideas  and to look the unknown words in the diccionary

4.Reviewing:

It is suggested that at the end of each unit, the reader repeat  with their own words the content. Of the book  it is to be sure they understood what they read.

 WHY IS READING IMPORTANT?

Reading is important because through it we learn many things also we increase our cultures besides we transmit the  knowledge from one generation to another, and  it gives us different emotions.

 WHAT STRATEGIES  DO YOU USE TO READ ?

o   Look into the book (Review the author's name, title, chapters, and pages).

o   Look for the main idea

o   Underline the key words

o   Reread the text

o   Look into the dictionary for unknown words

o   being in the author position.

o   Being in a comfortable place

We expect to learn how to understand a text to the communicative development and to apply it in our professional lives

 What is to understand a text?

To understand a text is necessary to study in depth the meaning of the text, and at the same
time, to build a model of the situation covered by it.

We took into account the meaning found  in the text . then to find  in the comprehension  the development of the topic to do the work.

 DEFINE EACH TYPES OF READING  AND WHAT ARE ITS BENEFIT ?

To Study:

His goal is to learn a method for a course, examination, etc. Structural and Analysis: general reviewl, to get an overview of parts and contents of a book.

Dynamics:

It is a systematic practice of fast reading and understanding.

  to consult:

It is used to expand the knowledge through the dictionary, encyclopedia and other texts

to Information:

To know the main topic of the reader through brochures, scientific journals, newspapers, essays, etc.

 to Research:

Is carried out in different books and materials to obtain  the necessary information to produce a paper, essay, report, thesis, book, etc..

 to Recreation:

To relax, for aesthetic enjoyment,  to stimulate the imagination, emotion, reflection, etc.

 to Critique or evaluate:

It interprets, assesses the knowledge, data and information. It is a reflective reading of the ideological intention of the author, to be able to review or comments and to develop an appropriate trial or a new idea.

 HOW DO YOU HAVE TO PROMOTE READING IN YOUR LIFE?
 WE have to be awareü that reading is the main topic in our lives.  Also it is a fundamental tool in the educational process, coming to educated people who know how to say and argue at any time and situation of our life.
